Indianapolis, IN — CSCI has joined the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Freedom 250 Small Business Pledge, a nationwide initiative celebrating the entrepreneurs and small businesses helping shape America’s next 250 years.
The SBA launched the initiative in June as part of the national celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Participating businesses pledge to build and grow in America, create opportunities for American workers, innovate and invest in the future, and uphold the entrepreneurial spirit that has helped drive the country forward.
For CSCI, the pledge reflects principles that have shaped the company since its founding in 2002. What began as a small Indianapolis-based business has grown into a nationwide team supporting complex government programs across financial management, enterprise information technology, and management consulting.
“Small businesses have always played an important role in moving our country forward, creating opportunities, solving difficult problems, and bringing new ideas to the table,” said Michele Durante, Founder and CEO of CSCI. “The SBA has been an important part of CSCI’s journey, and we are proud of the company we have become over the past 24 years. Joining the Freedom 250 Small Business Pledge is a meaningful way to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit that helped shape our own story while looking ahead to what comes next.”
CSCI’s participation in the Freedom 250 Small Business Pledge also reflects a longstanding relationship with the SBA. Throughout its growth, CSCI has participated in SBA programs designed to help small businesses build capacity, compete, and create new opportunities. That relationship has continued as CSCI has grown, including serving as a mentor through the SBA All Small Mentor-Protégé Program and receiving recognition as the SBA Region V 8(a) Graduate of the Year in 2020 and the SBA Indiana Small Business Person of the Year in 2018.
