CSCI Consulting receives 8(a) Graduate of the Year awards from the Small Business Administration
CSCI is pleased to announce that we have been named the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 2020 Indiana 8(a) Graduate of the Year and 2020 Region V 8(a) Graduate of the Year.
The SBA 8(a) Business Development Program levels the playing field for small businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged entities. Companies who participate in the program can compete for specified set-aside and sole-source contracts, obtain professional support for navigating the federal contracting arena, and form joint ventures with established businesses through the SBA’s Mentor-Protégé Program.
“The 8(a) program has allowed CSCI to effectively build our infrastructure and the robustness of our capabilities,” said Michele Meyer, CSCI President and CEO. “It has been an essential part of CSCI’s growth, and we are so grateful for the SBA’s steadfast support during our nine years of participation in the program.”
As an 8(a) business, CSCI participated in the Mentor-Protégé Program in partnership with Defense industry leader Perspecta. The success of this partnership was publicly recognized in 2018 by the Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), when we were given the Program’s highest honor, the Nunn-Perry Award.
