Michele Meyer, CSCI President and CEO, has been named the 2018 Indiana State Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week to recognize the contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. As part of this celebration, the SBA highlights the impact of outstanding contributors to create jobs, drive innovation, and increase America’s global competitiveness by announcing national, state, and territorial Small Business Person of the Year winners.

“Your hard work, innovative ideas, and dedication to your employees and community have helped you build an outstanding business that has strengthened your state’s economy,” Linda McMahon, SBA Administrator, stated in the award. “The SBA is pleased to celebrate your achievements and recognize your personal role in driving our nation’s economic growth.”

Michele Meyer will attend a national awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. in April to accept her award.

“It is an honor to be Indiana’s choice for Small Business Person of the Year,” Ms. Meyer shared. “As a small business that started with a single employee, it has been truly incredible to witness the impact that our founding principle of ‘People First’ continues to have on our extraordinary growth.”
